Panel PCs are variants of Industrial PCs that can be installed in standard control cabinets, consoles and control panels for various purposes. In addition, it can mounted on a terminal as a complete system, for example when the PC is used to visualize an assembly line. Production and process automation are typical areas of application, too. Normally, the different types of Panel PCs consist of a unit, the computer and a display. The TFT or LC screens are usually operated with a secondary keyboard or touchscreen.

We - hematec GmbH - have focused on high-quality and reliable Panel PCs, HMI and touchscreen PCs. We only use proven industrial components with high-quality components, long availability and extended temperature range.

After assembly, all our devices undergo a comprehensive quality check and several hours of burn-in stress testing. In addition to the classic installation of Panel PCs, which is installed in control cabinets and console housings, we also offer touch Panel PCs, which are used by VESA-mounting on walls or swivel arms. Furthermore we offer Panel PCs for wall installation: flush-mounted boxes allow installation directly in the masonry or in the pretext. Our hematec Panel PCs are at least IP65-wide protected against dust and splashing water – many of the PCs are even fully subject to IP65 protection. Some of our series can also be equipped with a stainless steel front for a higher quality look. But even if special hygienic or mechanical requirements are placed on the devices used, our stainless steel Panel PCs are excellently suited.

Fanless Panel-PCs von hematec GmbH

Panel PCs are a special series of industrial PCs that are developed and designed as Human Machine Interface (HMI) and are often referred to as Human Machine Interface (MMS). Originally they were manufactured for industrial use, but have now become established in many other areas for convenient operation and data retrieval. Panel PCs have become increasingly important, for example, for infotainment, customer care, clinics, nursing homes and other medical areas. The simple installation and the high user-friendliness have led Panel PCs to prevail over other solutions as vending machines and sales systems.

Panel PCs that do not require active fans or coolers are also known as fanless Panel PCs. They are mainly used in dusty, humid, thirsty and steamy environments.

Often, dirty fans and misdesigned cooling cause overheating as one of the most common causes of failure in industrially used IT systems. For this reason, we have been increasingly engaged in the development of our devices with regard to effective cooling. Despite considerable performance, all our panel and embedded PCs do not require active ventilation – even at higher temperatures. The "mobile technology" ensures that waste heat is avoided, because effective heat conductors transport the remaining loss heat from the devices. In this way, safe operation can be guaranteed at any time.
